Awareness of cultural heritage is less significant among the inhabitants of Phou Hin Poun than the importance given to nature, a space of resources. This state of affairs is attributable to the displacement of populations during the 20th century, especially after the Second World War and the war that ignited the Indochinese peninsula. At the mention of heritage, the inhabitants consider these places and spaces more as spaces for visits for tourism.
